L.A. Kendall has been a fixture in the Seattle Nightlife Scene for well over a decade, playing and throwing parties at some of Seattle's hottest queer events. She founded Seattle's hitgirl! collective in 1997, and has been a passionate advocate for women in the industry ever since. Along with her business partner and manager, David "D$" Richey, she's been behind such popular Seattle parties as: Kiss My Ass, Hot Mess, and Hard Times (which has now morphed into a ‘zine, which she is the managing editor of). L.A. Kendall is also a vocalist - most well known for her single "Kiss My Ass" (produced by DJ SPIRE), and for being one-half (along with Miss Adraboo) of electro-pop-raptresses (so dubbed by Larry Mizell Jr. of The Stranger), Luxury A.K. A typical DJ set by L.A. Kendall might include Classic House, Disco, 80's/'90's classics, Top 40, Electro Remixes, Indie Jams, and original tracks (complete with live vocals), seemlessly mixed to keep the dance floor motivated.
Now, L.A. Kendall is proud to release her first solo E.P., “They Eyes Of Laura Kendall”, which coincides with the public release of her new blog, www.theeyesoflaurakendall.blogspot.com. The aptly named E.P., as well as the blog, are perfect reflections of things through her eyes. A blend of emotion, humor, politics, rapping, singing – all set to current pop/dance/electro production (provided by the amazingly talented Sammy LaForge ,a producer behind CyberSutra's hit single "I Believe", who also lends his sexy vocals on one of the tracks). The new blog will be full of music & DJ mix releases, plugs for up and coming gigs, music reviews, event promotions, political and situational rants, and anything else that “The Eyes Of Laura Kendall” might see. The E.P. is set for release the same day as the blog goes live publicly – Wednesday October 13, 2010.
