Monday, Monday....

Ah! Monday. Just two more sleeps and I am off to Palm Springs for some fun in the sun. To be honest, I can't freakin' wait people! The West Coast Love Train will be in full effect!

Thursday night I am performing with Vintage Youth and DJ Nark. Friday I will be DJ-ing poolside during the day with DJ Barbeau while the one and only Jerber Jones and that super sexy 1950's lesbian housewife, Honeysuckle Hype, wow the whole swim club with thier incredible antics! Friday night I'll be droppin' it like it's hot on the decks with DJ Barbeau before and after Trannyshack. Then Saturday and Sunday I will be helping my bestie and biz partner, David D$ Richey, maintain his sanity. I'll also be enjoying the talent that LA's Victor Rodriguez is presenting. It's going to be amazing. Don't worry kids! I will be posting regular updates to the blog throughout the festivities so you can share in the fun! Well, or to make you feel super horrible about not getting a ticket. I mean, we gotta make sure you get there next year, right?

But, before I leave, there's some serious business we must cover:

VOTE!
People. If you have a mail-in ballot sitting around at home, fill it out and get it in the mail asap. Tomorrow at the latest. If you can't vote by mail, make sure you arrange your day on Tuesday to give yourself plenty of time to vote. YOU MUST VOTE! If you don't, don't complain to me. In fact, don't even tell me, as it will only serve to make me want to strangle you, and that just wouldn't do, right?

Overwhelmed by all the choices and rhetoric? Go to votesmart.org. They have this AWESOME tool called 'vote easy'. It basically dumbs down figuring out what positions these candidates actually take beyond their political ads. I highly recommend! The Stranger also offers a cheat sheet that I am on board with 9 times out of ten. It's worth a look - click here to take a gander!

HOT NEW VIDEO BY AMANDA LEPORE & CAZWELL:
This is fuckin' AWESOME!!! Enough said. WOW...

VOTE FOR Q BOY!
Q Boy's music video, 'Coming Out 2 Play' featuring She (of Goddess & She), has been nominated as one of the best of 2010 on MTV's LOGO!!! To vote for it to win click here!

NEXT WEEK!
The party doesn't stop in Palm Springs baby! We hit the ground running right off the plane! Catch me Wednesday night (11/10/2010) at Havana for Choice Wednesdays, where I will be throwing down some SERI-ASS house JAMZ! It's also my good friend Josh's birthday. Josh is sexy, and he deserves your attention! Come give it to him. A hint on what to give him for his birthday? Well, let's just say he likes all sorts of deserts slathered across his body. Which is more of a birthday present for you than for him. Or both. Either way, it's gonna be the perfect action for the soundtrack I will be throwing down. Choice Wednesdays is another in the string of events that the prolific Mr. Kevin Kauer aka Nark has his hand in. You never know what's gonna happen at his events. So come and check it out! Cover charge is one measly dollar (don't be cheap)! We will all have stories and gossip to share from Palm Springs so mark your calendars!

Then Friday, we will continue to nurse our Palm Springs Hangover with some supercharged Hair of the Dog (Read: Vodka Redbull) at Lezbro!

Last month, Me & Tony Burns teamed up to bring you the first installment of LEZBRO, at The Wildrose (1021 E. Pike St., Seattle). LEZBRO is a night for fag hags (ladies that love themselves some gay boys), dyke tykes (guys that pal around with ladies who love ladies) & fruit-flies (straight people that like to hang with the queers)! In short COME AS YOU ARE! Everyone is welcome! The dance floor was flooded with all kinds of jams – Hip Hop, 80’s, Old School, 90’s, Freestyle, House Classics, Electro remixes. There was something for everyone! At Lezbro, you might even occasionally find some random, spontaneous performances by local queer artists. Anything goes!

This month’s installment of LEZBRO features a special performance by Seattle’s own Sh*t Damn Hella and Huggy B! Sh*t Damn Hella, (made up of Huggy B and Shannon Carroll), rocks the house with songs about bikes, crushes, the grocery outlet, America, used vegetables, and healthy living!

The Wildrose offers super economical (and by that, I mean CHEAP) cover charge – a mere $3, as well as some incredibly unbelievable drink specials (varies from night to night). This makes Lezbro hard to pass up! So come early for your pre-funk, stumble in late for your wrap-up, or stay all night and don’t miss a thing – but come people!

OK, enough with the blogging today! I must go organize my music for Palm Springs. I'm packing ALL of my Madonna, and my Police remix. I don't care who hates me!

Halloween Hijinx!

Happy Halloween People!

It's going to be one seriously crazy weekend out there! There's so many great parties to attend! I, myself, will be spending the weekend with my family, trick or treating with the gingerboy (who intends to be a punk/skater/zombie). Gotta get some quality fam-time in before heading off to Palm Springs for our parties at The Ace Hotel next week! Gay Pride in November! Nothing like it! I can't wait to be basking in the sun, mingling with Tranny's, belting out my new tunes, dropping some beats poolside, and assisting my precious friend and biz partner, David D$ Richey with his sanity. But first, this lovely Halloween weekend ahead...there's nothing like seeing Halloween through the eyes of a child! This is my suburban mom side talking.

We will be prefunking to this mix (AND YOU SHOULD TOO!), by my friend and C89.5's very own DJ Skiddle! It's super hot! Packed full of halloween goodies! ....and, it features the first single off my new E.P. with Sammy LaForge, "Starfucker". This mix was featured on DJ Skiddle's drive at 5 on Monday, so if ya missed it then, click here to download and relive the moment! Super duper thanks to DJ Skiddle for droppin' it on the radio! You're a peach pally!

My City/DJ/Promoter side, is so sad to be missing a few events this weekend. I won't lie. So you should attend them in my absence and then regale me with stories that will make me want to scratch your eyes out with jealousy. Just Kidding (maybe). Really though, this is where the action is at!

Saturday night - GRIME at Chapel is back with an extra SPOOKY dance party - Monster Mashup! Halloween weekend will be done right with KILLER mashups, heat-seeking lazers, DEADLY martinis, and DJ Skiddle. Not enough? How about a heart-stopping live performance by LISA DANK?

Don your costume and get ready for all HELL to break loose!

This party is going to be an amazing prefunk for Sunday. You should make sure to attend to build up your stamina, cause you'll need it for.....

Sunday night hit up Night Riot! This party promises an all night rager, and the official after-party of the hip-hop / fuck rock show Champagne Champagne and The Coathangers at the Comet. Look ridiculous, tap the floor, mingle with your favorite bands.

...LIVE:
VINTAGE YOUTH

CHICHI & CHONGA (PDX)

Seattle's scariest knife-wielding cake face, JACKIE HELL

DJ's:
RIFF-RAFF
MATHEMATIX

and the premiere of..
SUPER THREAT
'The more than just a pretty face and a new wig duo, consisting of the whiskey veteran Nark and the high-heeled Queen of the crop, Amoania, premiering live at Night Riot. The father/drag daughter duo slams your dancing shoes to the floor through a mix of house, disco, electro and bangers, but don't request any top 40 or you'll be surgically removing Amoania's press-ons from your retinas later.'

Hosted by the leggy songbird you'll want to bang;
JINKX MONSOON

ALISHA MAHONE of Don't Be Jealous make-up will be on hand to paint up them skull faces!

Space is limited and WILL sell out, guarantee your entry by purchasing a ticket now!
all at Havana Social Club.

Wow! Sounds fun, right? So download the mix, get your prefunk on, and head out to these parties! I want pictures! I want stories! I want candy!

No matter what you do kids, make sure you're safe this weekend! Mama loves ya!

Fannie Mae Darling. Pure Genius. For Real.

Oh friends!

I must share with you the joy I have found the last several days watching these videos. I'm addicted. I need Lakeside-Milam to intervene. My girlfriend keeps walking past me as I am watching, grinning like a fool, laughing like a crazy person, telling me how cute I am in that condescending way that really says, "You've lost your ever-loving mind".

I owe my bliss to Portland's own Fannie Mae Darling. Unfamiliar with the lore of Fannie Mae? Well allow me to enlighten you. Fannie Mae Darling was born in a little amish town in Indiana. As she grew up, she knew she was different from the other little girls. During Rumspringa, Fannie took off to the big city and never looked back. She joined the world famous acting, comedy troupe SissyBoy (who I brought to Seattle when they were on tour several years back) and later went on to her solo career. She's starred in several movies (including 'Whatever Happened To Fannie Mae?'), and performs often in her home city and other planets as well. She is the co-owner of Mars.

That just about says it all! Right?!?!

In these two videos, Fannie Mae responds to some of the success and attention that Portland's latest super-hot drag duo, ChiChi and Chonga, are having. For those of you who live in Seattle, catch ChiChi and Chonga at Night Riot Halloween with Vintage Youth and Jinx Monsoon.

I'm totally down with Chi Chi and Chonga, but Fannie Mae wins my heart!

Amazing, right? I must see about getting Fannie Mae up here to Seattle for a little soiree....

My Boy Tony Burns! Heatin' Things Up With A Hot New Mix!

There's nothing like getting a new mix from one of my favorite DJ friends! Actually, what's even better is sharing it! Yes kids, I said share. Sharing, after all, is caring, and you know I care about you!

My boy Tony Burns hooked me up with his latest mix the other day. I've been shaking in my seat while pumping out my work, rocking it while in the car makin' my rounds, I felt love, and you will too (in more ways than 6)! This mix is a romp through groovy basslines, stomping beats, sexy vocals, thumping remixes. In a word, it's hot! ...and I don't just gush because I love this guy (though I do)! He's a good egg, and musically prolific DJ. He's also cute as hell to watch when he's droppin' a set. His ass just can't stay still!

So, without further ado, give his mix a listen, won't you?
Tony Burns Demo3 by Tony Burns

...and if you'd like to download this mix, click here!

About Tony Burns...(taken from his bio, written by the one and only Anton Bomb)

Long before he dropped his first track, Tony Burns has been an animated and vigorous participant within the local dance music scene! For twelve solid years now, he has worn such hats as promoter, dancer, and staunch supporter of the various incarnations of Northwestern club and party life, from Portland to Seattle. Although he began performing out as DJ a mere seven months ago, he has quickly become a fixture within Seattle's new rennaissance of style-savvy, culture-carving innovators.

"I began experimenting with DJ-ing in the privacy and security of home between 2007 - 2009. I've only been playing gigs out out for the last seventeen months. It wasn't until a few months before my first gig that I really started focusing on the art." His style, thus far, ranges from pop-nouveau meets dirty electro, to the occassional breaks and everything including the proverbial kitchen sink.

"I feel that a huge part of my current love and drive for djing is this amazing, new resurrgance within Seattle club and bar culture, I feel that I'm not alone when I say that is due, at least in part, to such pivotal club nights as "Hard Times" and "Fringe", and such progressive community pillars as "The Pony", "Re-Bar", and "The Electric Tea Garden. We, as a community are so very fortunate to have them and they continually inspire me."

Aside from churning the disco butter on many a local dancefloor, be sure to catch Tony as he frequently DJs at a host of venues near you. So, be warned. His sets will most assuredly turn you on. And they might just turn you out!

Enjoy the music lovers!

Some Of My Favorite DJ's & Producers! Who Are Yours?

Hello darlings!

This is a feature I will repeat from time to time, whenever the whim hits me! There are just SO MANY! But here are a few to get you started. Some of my all time favorites. Leave me some comments and tell me who YOUR favorites are! I WANNA KNOW!!! Edu-ma-cate me yo!

ARMAND VAN HELDEN
This guy, and his remixes in the mid to late '90's (Nuyorican Soul, Sneaker Pimps, Tori Amos, etc), is what made me want to be a DJ. Here is one of my favorites from him.

MASTERS AT WORK
These guys were behind Nuyorican Soul...and man, was that hot! However, this is my favorite track that I still like to rock when appropriate!

ROGER SANCHEZ
One of the most incredible jocks of all time. This one reminds me of my friend Julie Herrera...

DJ AM
Tragically, his life was cut short. But this dude was mad talented, and inspired so many...

SPINDERELLA
Hello? Salt n Pepa! Spinderella! These girls blazed trails for the ladies! Spinderella is a LEGEND people! Here's an interview with Spin and Ms Hollywood on the red carpet. I am so lucky to have this lady in my life. Working with her has definitely been a highlight in my career!

TINA T
Less Skin, More Skill! Another lovely lady I am proud to call a friend. This chick is unbelievably talented. She rocks the party too! Check out this interview from The Las Vegas Weekly website....

DJ MINX
The mistress of the Detroit electronic movement. Mother of Women On Wax recordings. I have been lucky to count Minx among my friends as well. Hella talented DJ, amazing producer. The first time we brought her to Seattle, as the hitgirl! collective, it was at Baltic Room. Bitch was so pregnant she was about to pop. I remember the manager of Baltic told me "Kendall, only you would bring a pregnant lady out to DJ". Of course I would! It was a great show, and just one of many! Working on getting her back out here for a Flammable. If you are interested in pushing that agenda with me, blow up Brian Lyons or Flammable on Facebook and let your/our agenda be known! For now, I leave you with this...the sound is crappy, and it does not do her justice, but you'll get a taste!

DICKEY DOO
He resides overseas now, but if you're in tune to the Van BC club scene, you are familiar with Dickey Doo and The House Of Venus crew. We had him play one of my birthday parties way back when we were still doing Hot Mess at The War Room (years back!). The Comeback crew has had him out as well. He is an amazing person. He is a fantastic DJ. He is an accomplished producer. Can't say enough good stuff about DICKEY! Here's a cute interview from 'Michael Venus Profiles'....

DAYHOTA
One of the amazing Superjane crew out of Chicago, and Dayhota is, was, and always will be my favorite. This girl can work her sh** out! She FEELS that sh**! I've been involved in bringing this lady out in almost every Seattle appearance she has made. We've had some good times too (nothing I am willing to share on my blog though kids, sorry!)!
Here's a little snippet of her in action...

Gay Pride Palm Springs Style! HELL YES!

Hey All!

It's that time of year again - Palm Springs Gay Pride! Last year I had an absolute blast playing and participating in The West Coast Love Train pride event hosted by The Ace Hotel. This year is going to be EVEN BETTER! Especially since my bestie and biz partner, David "D$" Richey and our company, Qulture Qreative are heading up the festivities! As usual, we will be bringing you an event (better yet, a whole weekend full of events), that mixes art, music, colorful personalities, amazing performances, all for that alternative crowd of queers that would like to celebrate more than just the rainbow flag. Not that there's anything wrong with that either! We just like to do things a little different, that's all!

Now you may think that Palm Springs in November is crayyyyyyzay! It's actually amazing. For those of you who live in Seattle, it's a wonderful respite from the chilling temperatures. A perfect time to be in Palm Springs as the temps are still warm, but cooling down. The sun in shining. The scenery is something to behold! Even more amazing, is the property at The Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs. Walking around the property you feel overwhelmed by all the lovely details, all in what feels like a beautiful resort nestled in the shadow of a desert mountain. Can you tell I can't wait? Well I can't. I think I might start packing my suitcase next week. A girl has to make sure she looks good!

This years festivities include an indie queer band night on Thursday, where I will be debuting my new material for the first time in Californ-I-A, along with Seattle's own Vintage Youth and more! I get the feeling this night is going to feel like a Hard Times reunion of sorts! Hell, the whole weekend probably will!

Friday and Saturday there will be tons of rotating DJ's at the pool - along with hosting by JerBer Jones and Honeysuckle Hype! Nothing like it folks. Last year I saw JerBer do a number that ended with her diving into the pool. At Dinah Shore, Honeysuckle Hype did the Tittie Bounce with tons of young children. I have the video to prove it! You never know what's going to happen by The Ace Hotel PSP pool!

Friday night I am extremely excited to be DJ-ing at this:

All I have to say is Wowwwwwww.....the flyer pretty much says it all. Can you say All Star Line-up? Yeah, it's going to be HAWT!

Saturday night and Sunday Victor Rodriguez and his merry band of troublemakers take over. I hear Juanita More and her superfabulousass will be among the highlights! Victor's DJ sets were among my favorite last year. Can't wait to hear his wizardry while sippin' some delicious, exotic cocktail by the pool....

If you aren't going already, scour Kayak, investigate Priceline, work it out on Hotwire, but get there if you can! These events are going to be completely insane!

Here are some links on the property and events!
Ace Hotel & Swin Club PSP
(Call now to book great deals on rooms before they sell out!)
West Coast Love Train Facebook Invite

I don't care how you get there, just....get there if you can!!!

The Eyes Of Laura Kendall - Released Tomorrow - 10.13.2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!

“The Eyes Of Laura Kendall” E.P. & Blog

www.theeyesoflaurakendall.blogspot.com

L.A. Kendall has been a fixture in the Seattle Nightlife Scene for well over a decade, playing and throwing parties at some of Seattle's hottest queer events. She founded Seattle's hitgirl! collective in 1997, and has been a passionate advocate for women in the industry ever since. Along with her business partner and manager, David "D$" Richey, she's been behind such popular Seattle parties as: Kiss My Ass, Hot Mess, and Hard Times (which has now morphed into a ‘zine, which she is the managing editor of). L.A. Kendall is also a vocalist - most well known for her single "Kiss My Ass" (produced by DJ SPIRE), and for being one-half (along with Miss Adraboo) of electro-pop-raptresses (so dubbed by Larry Mizell Jr. of The Stranger), Luxury A.K. A typical DJ set by L.A. Kendall might include Classic House, Disco, 80's/'90's classics, Top 40, Electro Remixes, Indie Jams, and original tracks (complete with live vocals), seemlessly mixed to keep the dance floor motivated.

Now, L.A. Kendall is proud to release her first solo E.P., “They Eyes Of Laura Kendall”, which coincides with the public release of her new blog, www.theeyesoflaurakendall.blogspot.com. The aptly named E.P., as well as the blog, are perfect reflections of things through her eyes. A blend of emotion, humor, politics, rapping, singing – all set to current pop/dance/electro production (provided by the amazingly talented Sammy LaForge ,a producer behind CyberSutra's hit single "I Believe", who also lends his sexy vocals on one of the tracks). The new blog will be full of music & DJ mix releases, plugs for up and coming gigs, music reviews, event promotions, political and situational rants, and anything else that “The Eyes Of Laura Kendall” might see. The E.P. is set for release the same day as the blog goes live publicly – Wednesday October 13, 2010.

Homo For The Holidays Is On A Man Hunt!

I just got a lovely little note from one of my absolute favorite Seattle celebutantes, BenDeLaCreme, asking for help getting out the following message! Put on your red shoes and dance!

HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS is looking for performers!

Due to our current surplus of fancy ladies, we are looking for
performers who represent other points on the gender spectrum and other
segments of the GLBTQ universe.

Seeking: bears, butches, leathermen, daddies, dykes, twinks, fairies,
genderqueers,… or someone we haven’t imagined yet!

Come prepared to show your talent! Show us your dance moves, sing us
a song, play an instrument, take off your shirt and gogo dance on a
chair, read us a poem, juggle… there’s no rules, we want to see what
YOU have to share!

HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS is an annual seasonal variety show featuring an
array of queer Seattle artists. It is an opportunity for performers to
spend the holiday season creating a fun new tradition that encourages
queers and allies to expand their ideas of family and what it means to
be home.

This Year, HOMO FOR THE HOLIDAYS will be presented in West Hall in
Capitol Hill's Oddfellows building Nov 25th, 26th, and 27th, and Dec
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 24th.

(If you are not available for all show dates you may still be
considered for a guest slot.)

This production is directed and produced by BenDeLaCreme and features
Fuchsia Foxxx and The Cherdonna and Lou Show among others. Some
rehearsals are required; dates and times will be determined according
to availabilty. Rehearsals will not be paid, but performances will.

Audition to be held October 17th. 6pm-11pm in East Hall in the
Oddfellow's Building.

Email Bendelacreme@gmail.com to set up a time slot.

Doooo it kids! Seeing this show last year was one of my holiday highlights! Getin2it!

Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are!

Today is not just Columbus Day, but it's also National Coming Out Day! For 22 years National Coming Out Day has been an international opportunity to raise awareness of the LGBT community. There have been many holidays that were invented, with no cultural tradition to link them back in history. A few examples: Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. However, just because they came about from a void, doesn’t mean they serve less a purpose than Christmas or Thanksgiving.

National Coming Out Day is an internationally observed civil awareness day for coming out, as well as a reason to perpetuate positive discussion about gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual and transgender (LGBT) issues. It is observed by members of the LGBT communities and their supporters (or "allies") on October 11 every year (or October 12 in the UK). This means TODAY kids! In 2010 we continue to live in a society with a shockingly narrow conception of sexual identity. National Coming Out Day was created because there was a need, a need to hopefully deliver us one step further from the homophobic days of years gone by.

The day was founded by Dr. Robert Eichberg and Jean O'Leary in 1988, acting on behalf of their organizations, The Experience (www.ExperienceYourPower.com) and National Gay Rights Advocates, in celebration of the Second National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights one year earlier, in which hundreds of thousands of people marched on Washington, DC, for gay and lesbian equality. National Coming Out Day events are aimed at raising awareness of the LGBT community among the general population in an effort to give a familiar face to the LGBT rights movement. The numbers in those 'familiar faces' grow exponentially every year.

National Coming Out Day is about encouraging all people, of all sexual orientations, to "take your next step" in living openly, proudly. I took my first steps in living openly and proudly decades ago. It's really been the best thing I have ever done. I personally feel like I was lucky to be born a lesbian.

It is highly encouraged for participants on this day to wear gay pride symbols, such as the pink triangle (gay men), the black triangle (lesbians), the Greek letter lambda, and rainbows in jewelry and on clothing. Since I myself don't have a flag to put out, or a black triangle (a black triangle?), or any rainbows to adorn my clothing, and I am clean out of the Greek letter Lamda, I just plan on butching it up today, proudly, in the little conservative, suburban neighborhood where I reside. I think that counts, don't you?

In the United States, the Human Rights Campaign manages the event under the National Coming Out Project, offering resources to LGBT individuals, couples, parents and children, as well as straight friends and relatives, to promote awareness of LGBT families living honest and open lives. Candace Gingrich became the spokesperson for the day in April 1995. I find it hard to be down for anybody with the last name Gingrich, but then again, maybe she puts a face to LGBT issues within her conservative circle of associates. Let's just hope her dad doesn't take a whack at running for president in 2012.

Despite its name, National Coming Out Day (so named due to the fact that it originated as an event in the United States) is in fact observed in many countries around the world, including Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Croatia, Poland and the United Kingdom (where it is celebrated on October 12). As of 2008, the Netherlands also has Coming Out Day on October 11.

We're everywhere people. Seriously. Get used to it. We're everywhere!

Come on out kids! The weather is JUST FINE!

This makes Lezbro hard to pass up! So come early for your pre-funk, stumble in late for your wrap-up, or stay all night and don’t miss a thing – but GET THERE! Lezbro…LET’S GO!

'It Gets Better', Gets Better!

They just keep pouring in!!! I have included a few here in my blog that I have enjoyed, but there are more up at You Tube (about 826,000)! Check out all the submissions by clicking here!

Stephanie Miller...who references Phyllis Schlafly (who?)!

Tim Gunn...who shares the fact that he attempted to kill himself before it got better!

Ke$ha....who I don't particularly care for, but anyone who speaks out on this has to be cool!

Eve....man she's a good lookin' girl!

Kathy Griffin....who not only says 'it gets better', but has some seriously great points, succinctly presented, with her signature brand of humor!

To see more of these videos (and there are SO many of them pouring in!), click here! Submit your own! Let's get this message out there! It's so important! Everyone has a point of view to share, a different perspective to add to this experience. This project can only serve to open peoples minds. I personally love that this is growing, and getting more attention. If it keeps growing, noone will be able to avoid it!

Oooh! A Great Article I Read...For The Political Folk!

Just read this great article from Ron Howard (yes, Ron Howard) on Huffington Post. Food for thought!

Making Campaign Ads More Honest
By Ron Howard...

Instead of candidates hiring people like yours truly, to create campaign media that works on both conscious and subconscious levels to sway the voting public, what if all TV ads were, by law, only allowed to feature the candidate, with, say, the American flag as the backdrop, alone, speaking directly to the camera? Perhaps the words also subtitled on the bottom of the frame. No music, no graphs, no cut-away shots of disturbing or sentimental images. Only the candidate, talking to us, the voters.

Random Monday Thoughts

It's Monday, a new week to tackle, adventures to persue, memories to be made - or in my case, a new "To-Do" list to tackle! Yeehaw! I have a bunch of things kickin' around in my noggin' and I thought I would take a minute to lay them all out here. To share them with you. To purge my mind of them so I can go on about my list! Enjoy!

ACID CAN DO MESSED UP THINGS...
Thanks to my little sis for giving me the hot tip on this one...I'm still laughing!

PRINCESS SUPERSTAR!

Princess Superstar is one of my FAVORITES of all time. As a person, as an artist - I LOVE THIS GIRL! I've done several shows with her here in Seattle, and plan to do more in the future. We gotta get this girl back out here.

Some of you may remember her from these days:

Or from this (I Love This Video!)....

Why all this Princess Superstar talk? Well, because she is knee deep in a campaign to get her in the studio for her sixth album. Click here to be a part of making this happen! She has all kinds of deals on there, links to pics and articles and new music. CHECK HER OUT AND SUPPORT THIS CHICK! We need a new album, and a whole new reason for her to have to tour out this way!

IT GETS BETTER PROJECT
If you haven't seen or heard the buzz about this yet, CLICK HERE. This is so timely with the recent string of Queer/Gay youth SUICIDES (and these are just the ones we hear about...there are likely more). Big ups to Dan and Terry on this - I love the video that they did, and there have been so many more submitted since (click here to go to the You Tube Channel). We can't JUST fight the ignorance. We have to reach out and share our experience so that others may learn. This does both of those things!

The All-New Anita Goodmann Experience! Season Premiere!

I fell in love with Anita Goodmann and Cassie O'Hara back when we were throwing Hard Times as a club night, every Wednesday at The War Room(now the 'HG Lodge'). These two were always a most welcome addition to the cast of characters that made their way through the doors of our little experiment. I haven't yet had a chance to check out one of their shows (shame on me, I know...a bitch has to work, and schedules conflict), but I fully intend on checking this one out!
