Happy New Year Friends! It's 2012! This is when it's all supposed to end, right? According to the Mayan calendar? Right? According to the Hollywood blockbuster? Right?! This is it! So live it up! Right?
Well, I don't know about all of that. What I do know is that for me, 2012 feels like new beginnings. I am making a move, which is the culmination of several years of cooperative work on the part of myself and my family. Very excited to have a new space for the new year. To start a new chapter. A great deal which I will likely blog about. I am also making lots of changes personally. A new attitude that I have been working towards for a while, as well as some health and wellness goals which I am excited to tackle. Girl turns 40 this year. I think that's worthy of some change and renewed focus!
We also are, as a country, going to go through some change in the coming year. We have Presidential elections happening this year. If the Republicans win (god help us all), there will be massive change which will likely suck us even farther into the abyss than we are now (thank you George W. Bush). If Obama remains, hopefully he will feel he has a mandate, and the change we all thought we could believe in will finally happen. Until then, it'll be one wild ride. I for one can't wait. I love the theater of it all. I love the conventions and how the polls change week to week. Bring it on!
Seems to me the theme for this year is change. I look forward to it. I welcome it. I embrace it. Can't wait to see where it leads me personally, and where the road takes us as a society. Good times!
Speaking of 'good times', there will be plenty of those rolling through my blog in the year ahead. You can count on even more music, exciting interviews, amazing announcements, political rants, and plenty more! Thanks for following me in the last year as I began my blog! I look forward to bringing you more, through my eyes, for 2012!
...and I'd like to hear more from YOU in the coming year! Tell me what you like, tell me what you don't, pick apart my politics, critique my music choices, tell me how pretty you think I am. I wanna hear it all! Good and bad! Don't be shy!
Here's wishing you all the best for the year ahead!
